Project Statement

Problem: Body wearable cameras are small devices that record interactions between law enforcement officers and members of the community. They are used to document observations or statements, and other evidence, deterring inappropriate or illegal behaviors. There is not a lot of accessibility to watch videos transferred from a body-worn camera to a smartphone, especially Androids. It created challenges for those who rely on these videos for evidence and critical documentation. Law enforcement, first responders, and other authorities are the ones who depend on these body-worn cameras to capture crucial information and encounters. To ensure accountability, the ability to easily access and view these videos is essential, that way it can facilitate effective decision-making in many operational contexts.

Solution

Design a mobile companion app for Android that provides video transfers from the body-worn camera. The user can have easier access to important videos that may lead to evidence and decision-making. It can send updates, and alerts, and give you the exact information of every video (time place, and duration).
